'Gloomy news'

Times: House prices ‘will take five years to return to peak’

House prices will not return to the peak reached in autumn 2007 for at least another five years, according to Ernst & Young’s Item Club. The influential group’s gloomy forecast contradicts the increasingly optimistic outlook of the Government and some commentators that the British economy has begun a sustained recovery.

Saw this on Virgin Media's homepage this morning. Such a refreshing change to see articles like this in mainstream media. Suddenly I look less like an idiot for chanting 'false dawn' for the last few months!

May I suggest that when thwe crash does occur, a number of us get together to actually go and find Peter and Anne, in london, and throw eggs and rotten fruit at them, taking photos and then printing them on this and other sites?

The Times constantly lie about having an impartial pov regarding the housing market, [which means printing 3 stories vaguely questioning the recovery, and about 200 bullish stories, like the one above.]

The staff at the Times are truly pathetic.

When the crash comes, lets organise a mob ambush on these people, when they are leaving work.

I would take a day off to do that. Flour eggs, fruit. Find out where their cars are etc.......
