A bit of fun. Just replace motorcycle for house.

Guardian: Motorcycle sales see dramatic fall as credit crunch bites

Motorcycle sales are being hard hit as credit crunch Britons cut back their spending on bikes. High youth unemployment is keeping many first-time riders out of the market, while the gleaming superbikes that appeal to fortysomething executives are stuck in the showrooms as potential buyers bank their redundancy cheques, rather than blow their bonuses on dream rides.

The 'youf' in this neck of the woods seem disinterested in any activity that prevents them from playing with their mobiles at the same time.

Motorbike ownership is off the radar, irrespective of affordability.

So it has nothing to do with the stupid price hikes in the middle of a recession that all of the big manufacturers(Yamaha 10%, Honda 10%, Kawasaki 7%, Suzuki) have engaged in over the past year? European manufacturers such as KTM and Ducati have also raised their prices by about 10%.

I bought my bike in march for £5.1k and a month later Kawasaki put the price up to 5.5k.

I can't say that I feel sorry for them.
