Mortgage lending rises by 17% during June to around £12.3bn, the Council of Mortgage Lenders says.

Or down by 48% as against a year ago, or by [60% - 75%] as against 2007 when everybody was still going crazy.

No change then? And if there was no rise in June, then this quarter would be down on last.
