Mail Online: Deepest recession since World War 2: Slump was far worse than Darling forecast
Britain is being battered by its worst recession since the Second World War, Government figures show.
Gross domestic product tumbled 2.4 per cent in the first three months of the year, the steepest fall for 51 years, the Office for National Statistics said.
