Don’t be fooled by market optimism

MSN: Don’t be fooled by market optimism

The global economy is a bit like one of the ugly sisters.
Worried that the economic ball we'd all been having will collapse, she's been dressed up by hundreds of billions in taxpayers' cash which has been pumped into bank bailouts, public works, selected industrial rescues and a kind of financial liposuction called 'quantitative easing.'
This has produced some substantial cosmetic improvement, but things are far from attractive underneath.

I love the ugly sister comparison. A simple little word picture that sums it up perfectly.
