Thisismoney.co.uk: From buy-to-let to fraud and a lost £100k
BTL landlord didn't realise he might be committing Mortgage fraud when declaring the asking price for a property rather than what he was actually paying.
It's hard to feel all that sorry for the bloke if the report is accurate.

The sad and pathetic face of the underbelly of BTL. His mistake was that he didn't borrow more, much more. Then, he might have just had to drop from a ten million mansion to a five million mere pile.
Both represent why the country is in the mess it's in.

I wonder if his ex-wife knew something that he didn't? i.e. he is the sort of person who is going to loose all his money by one means or another.
