Would like people's opinion on here about the vaccine for swine flu, sorry it's off topic to houses but I respect the posters on here and know I'll get an honest answer.

After doing some research, I do not trust the vaccine in the slightest and will not be taking it. It also seems strange that the UK and US are leading the way with infections and how the WHO have power to impose a vaccination plan on countries that are meant to be sovereign. The panel that make decisions also have the vaccine makers on board to help with these meetings. which is a bit like asking a barber if you need a haircut. The pharma companies will stand to make millions if not billions from this and it all smells a bit fishy. Then you have to take into consideration that Baxter released a live virus recently (by accident?) into a vaccine, which could have caused a bird flu pandemic, so how can they be trusted ?

Also, will it become a mandatory vaccine ? - if so, this is almost beyond all human rights to be injected with something that you have no idea what's inside. If it was safe, then why have the drug companies been given legal immunity from prosecution ?

All opinions most welcome as I'm sure you too have a family to consider and protect.

Thanks

Accurate news, but not the true details. As usual.

Thanks to wildly inaccurate (some would say cynical) 'anti-swine flu' information provided by WHO, NHS, Health Prevention Agency etc. etc. millions of people are set to unwittingly weaken their immune systems. Actually that's not really fair. Without the complicity of the mainstream media and their inability to validate the accuracy of their headlines, the provision of wildly inaccurate recommendations by government would be a waste of effort.

Most HPC posters have been watching the news pretty closely for quite some time. Can you see a pattern? Sure you can. An ugly pattern.

"Swine flu threatens deflation slump". Beautiful. Detail = false. Overall outcome = true. Grammer = appalling. Surely anything that poses a threat to a "deflation slump" would be reported as a "green shoot". I give up trying to comprehend just precisely what this nonsense could possibly be meant to convey - apart from more confusion.

Well engineered 'doublespeak'. Pass the fluoride. Mmmmmm, lovely fluoride.

I'm no expert on viral infections, but my gut suspicion is that the number of people who have already had swine flu is very much greater than that recorded, and that many may be blissfully unaware of the fact.

With the constant stream of air passengers around the world, the human population is playing a game of Russian roulette.

We were very lucky that Aids was difficult to catch, that Sars arose in a country that was willing to take extreme and immediate measures to contain it (imagine a British government checking every motorist on the M1 for signs of fever..). With Swine flu we seem to have dodged a bullet in that its effects are generally mild.

Sooner or later we will get a real nasty; something that is both virulent and lethal. Governments need to be better prepared, and alert to the appearance of new diseases. When one appears, borders must be closed, flights cancelled, and recent travellers quarantined.

Better safe than sorry..

Dear Debtfree and all others: I urge all of you to take some time to firstly, check out the side effects of Tamiflu (oseltamivir phosphate). Oseltamivir phosphate has been partially banned in Japan, following the suicide of around 12 young people in Japan during 2005 -2006 when this magic potion was first introduced to the world as the pandemic relief for ‘Bird Flu’. Dead. Young people have died as a result of oseltamivir phosphate (Tamiflu).

I guess that makes a dozen deaths OK then.

Take a look at their website and you’ll be amazed to see that Roche are proud to pronounce “The Company provides innovative products and services that address prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, thus enhancing people's health and quality of life”. Great guys, clearly. No mention of cure?

Take a look at the Tamiflu website and you’ll be appalled to see the stated side effects listed. You’ll note that there is absolutely no “long-term” analysis or details of the long-term effects available, very strange. Especially regarding women who are pregnant.

According to Wikepedia, so called “ experts” recommend the use of oseltamivir for children with avian influenza, based on experience with one patient.

Also listed: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and headache. Rare ADRs include: hepatitis and elevated liver enzymes, rash, allergic reactions including anaphylaxis, and Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
Various other ADRs have been reported in postmarketing surveillance including: toxic epidermal necrolysis, cardiac arrhythmia, seizure, confusion, aggravation of diabetes, and haemorrhagic colitis.

Japan, maybe after pondering the above websites, or maybe questioning the validity of a dubious ‘trial’ of the drug involving only one child, decided to conduct a thorough survey of the effects of Tamiflu on 10,000 students. The University of Osaka, home to the best medical and biological experts in Japan, carried out the survey.

Preliminary analysis of the results (released the same week as ‘Swine Flu’ was first detected allegedly killing people in Mexico) recorded that 50%, that’s 5,000 young ladies and gentlemen, demonstrated very weird behaviour (from high anxiety to spaced out hallucinations, sickness and torpor) within minutes of ingesting Tamiflu.

Anyone remember Thalidomide? Sadly, I remember it well. Throughout history there have been many similar instances of inept (and/or cynical) malpractice by government controlled health agencies.

I know I cannot 'tell' you anything. So please check out the reality of the situation and decide what YOU find to be reasonable. Based on evidence you find to be honest, reliable and reasonable. Avoid mainstream media headlines.

Avoid the vaccine at all costs. It has the potential to permanently damage your immune system. Try and find the side effects - there are none published. But then if swine flu was only first discovered in April this year, and assuming they developed the vaccine within a few days, there have still only been a few weeks passed so how could they have carried out bone fide tests? Even the minutes of a very recent WHO meeting with the vaccine producers have been denied public access.

Personally, I have taken Tamiflu, for a nasty bout of flu while on holiday in the far east a few years back and I can confirm that it is remarkably effective.

The flu goes within 30 minutes after taking it, the high temperature receeds, runny nose stops, head clears etc. Then after a couple of hours it starts to come back so you redose. You have to do this up to 4 times a day until the flu stops (after about two days).

Like I say, remarkably effective at stopping flu.

If you print this I'll be sure you guys are on the level.

“The risk of a widespread outbreak of Gulf War Syndrome amongst the general population is inevitable - assuming the same H5N1 squaline adjuvant is utilized on H1N1 (Adjuvants are pharmacological or immunological agents that modify the effect of other agents). Further, the vaccine administered produces little antibody response. Therefore it requires 12 times the normal dose in order to be effective.”

Not my words but those of a website petitioning for a universal declaration of resistance to mandatory vaccinations. Go Google! Or visit the following site:

I'll take the vaccine or tamiflu and my chances with science...............

A friend of mine who has been doing PR for drugs companies for years - since leaving Imperial college with a degree in Biochemistry, and is now studying natural medicines thinks everyone should steer clear of vaccines whenever possible as they contain a raft of nasties, he recommends colloidal silver as a general immune booster, but I have not asked him specifically about swine flu, so let me come back to you...

Eat as much raw produce as possible and exercise outside for at least an hour a day. Why is our useless health minister not giving out this advice? If you have a proper diet and exercise regime, you might not get swine flu at all but if you do get it, there is a good chance that you will have reduced symptoms

Why are the authorities so keep to appease salad dodgers? If everyone followed the above advise, we’d half our health costs and increase our national productivity

There seems to be a lot of confusion within the general public about this.

Tamiflu is an antiviral drug, designed to aleviate symptoms once they are apparent.
It is NOT a vaccine.

The vaccine is an entirely different drug, which I would be very VERY reluctant to take unless swine flu mutates and starts killing a large percentage of those who catch it.

As for the basis of this article.. The world is in such a pickle, that swine flu could very well have a large impact on us, but probably not as noticeable as it would be if we weren't already in financial meltdown.

Won't happen until it's too late because it's not about the nation's health, it's about serving big business (the 'economy').

This article is actually rather sickening - read it again and let the message sink in, although I've seen worse. Undoubtedly it wasn't even done consciously on the part of the writer or editor. How numb we've become.
