All of the policies seem far too complicated, and smack of job creation for yet more civil servants. I've said it before, but surely all that's needed to avoid future financial crises, is to accurately measure inflation (including house prices), such that price bubbles can spotted at the very start, thus allowing the BOE to adjust interest rates in response, and stopping ordinary consumers over borrowing in a rush to own a rapidly inflating asset?
