Times Online: Stable housing market tempts Taylor Wimpey

The signal from a large building company that the housing market may finally have reached its nadir boosted construction shares this morning and Taylor Wimpey stock rose by more than 7 per cent.
However
"If the current market stability is sustained into the autumn selling season we will look to increase the number of outlet openings during the second half of the year. While we remain cautious on land buying, opportunities are starting to emerge to purchase good-quality land at prices that should be value creating," it said.
