TV Blog: Property Snakes And Ladders (C4) Review
Sarah Beeny reminded us that if interest rates go up, even hanging on to devalued homes may not be an option. Maybe this time we'll listen.
Her closing remarks seem to suggest that the market's only going to be further depressed once interest rates go up again, and next week's programme features Beeny musing on how turning houses into flats is a market that's pretty much dead.

I felt for them all but you have to ask did they deserve it for some of the really stupid assumptions they made - like that property would continue to go up forever ... i mean really it showed a chronic lack of investigation into property history and a complete lack of common sense.

er, flash to nov 08, they bought at 508 all in, they get it valued at 620k, wow, 20% return, you are genius's. Did anyone ever get rich from a valuation? so one minute they are shrewd property investors because of an estate agents view on their potential sale value. fast forward to april and theyve decided to not sell because they have a baby. obviously a 6 month gestation period baby which they didnt know they had in nov 08. They didnt sell because they couldnt sell. tell the truth losers! No sale, no profit...all bullsh*t.

i.e. not, 'Property Snakes & Ladders'
So they think it'll be over soon then.
