Guardian: Iran overtakes Saudi as China's No.1 crude supplier

Doesn't Iran sell oil in Euro's - didn't the US & UK go to war with a certain S.Hussain for the same reason?

No surprise that the Western-orchestrated campaign against Iran has coincided with this development. The BBC's coverage of the Iranian elections in particular has been disgusting - deliberately trying to whip the people up and provoke them into going into the streets and record themselves on mobile phones.

P.S. where was the media outrage when the government stamped down on protestors following the fraudulent US elections?

I wonder if the Chinese are advising the iranians on crowd control too?

Anyway where to start with the ill-informed nonsense above. I don't know anything and can't comment on the US elections stuff (though to claim there is somehow a BBC bias pro-US government seems laughable to me).

As for Iran, try to speak to some young Iranians and they will tell you just how oppressed they feel living in a fascist theocracy, and how much they yearn for change. Most are well aware that opinion is divided in Iran and that the conservatives maintan a real power base. This is a genuine struggle between two opposing forces and I think that has been expressed pretty well by the BBC.

Incidentally if you check Al Jazeera you'll find exactly the same news reporting and commentary. whatever is happening in Iran it isn't some western conspiracy.

4. montesquieu - BBc conspiracy never

Like the conspiracy that 600,000 people had to be killed in Iraq because a country that couldn't defend itself for 10 days was about to take over the world in 45 minutes - all I can say is petrodollars

Correct. The US & UK didn't go to war for that reason. They went to war because Iraq is a marginal producer, whose oil output (or lack of) can be used to set the market price. Read Greg Palast's book 'Armed Madhouse', Chapter 2, 'The Flow', particularly pp 120-124.
