There must be something in the air at The Times today. This article has nothing to do with lenders - it's about desperate builders giving incentives. Anyone fancy living in a railway shed in Milton Keynes? It's always been a secret dream of mine. Anne Ashworth has penned another article today asking why house prices are doubling. This seems to be based on some properties at auction exceeding their guide prices. If house prices are going into orbit and borrowers are bow-legged with cheap mortgages so be it, but some actual evidence to support this might lend some credibility to these stories.

It is a bizarrely misleading title - these are not deals from lenders in the sense you would expect. Why not say, great new deals from developers [desperate to reduce inventory]
