It is good when there is business/investment spirit for a country. However I do no see any benefits from buy-to-let activity. It does not create any jobs and it does not help the country compete globally when we are living a global economy. Secondly the fact that BTL uses banks money and maybe borrowed in $ or euros and not much if their own is not wise at all for the banks. Banks money should go into meanful businesses.

It looks like going back to feudalism when a few people were buying any property at price just to own everything. So?
