US housing market still falling after 4 years

Bloomberg: Buffett says no sign of housing recovery

buffett(who owns a realtor) sees housing market gloom continuing,this is even after 4 years and average salary 3 x average house price
In UK we are still ar 6 x average salary(which is falling)...dyor!

You can check the situation in the UK by looking for unemployment and repossessions(this is a dubious figure I think). Install an imageviewer called cooliris for the firefox browser. Probably it is the easiest way to browse charts online, that I have found anyway. House prices will continue falling as long as one of the two is rising.

That is what I am talking about: House prices after 3 periods of boom. With no economic sense kept going up for years. Shouldn't the governments be more careful with the speculation of the basic elements of people's expediture in life: housing, food, petrol in order for capitalism to survive?
