Fred harrison should be listened to. His suggestion of using land value tax to raise revenue rather than taxing wages is sound.The by products of which would end this odious behavoiur by some of our politicians.The primary benefit however would be a fairer system of taxation which would tax 'wealth' and encourage enterprise without the cyclic boom/bust which causes so much damage to a large part of society.ALL the cycles in the markets are ultimately traceable to the rise and fall in land value.
Unfortunately the wealthy land owning classes have in the past fiercly opposed this reform, as now ,because of err..... vested interests
