Paraphrase: The banks are lending money at ever increasing rates just to insure they get it back and can appear to make a profit. Nearly a trillion dollars in 3 months!

Yeah thanks for telling us what's going on the other side of the World Beeb - personally I'd rather you reported on the results of those stress tests - or are you trying not to publicise the fact that the results are being witheld?

There are some worrying similarities between China today and Japan 25 years ago. Not as extreme, but the same underlying issue of having rather more money to lend than the populace wants to borrow, leading to reckless lending.
Hopefully they will learn from the experiance of their old enemy, before the situation gets out of control.
