Peston refers to 7 smallish Building Societies. Small things are easy to deal with, lets keep them that way. No need for another Mega mess like Lloyds/HBOS.
Just because Moodys downgraded their financial status shouldn't worry anyone very much - weren't Moodys the idiots who graded all the sub-prime stuff at AAA?
