Thats a massive increase in unemployment, which was of course predicted by the 'doom mongers' on this website, its quite worrying how accurate this site has been.

2.2 million unemployed? Don't I know it.

Seems to me the jobs have gone in housebuilding and related, finance and related and manufacturing. Did I leave anyone out?

This is just the tip of the Iceburge, component manufacturing companies are now going bust. This will pan through to manufacturers, the will have shortages and will not be able to complete their contracts and order books. More will go bust and 3 million will be unemployed by July.

My observations of the recent events as published on countless Internet sites have resulted in meta-conlusions that the situation is going to get much worse. Political, banking, marketing and propaganda Spin has not in the past and never will reverse the physical laws of cause and effect-at least for the average human. If it did, then perpetual motion would be a reality.

The inevitable consequence of the gross unethical and improprietous behaviour of everyone involved and for those not involved will pan out. They banished slavery years back and have replaced it with economic slavery and bondage. At least slaves had rudimentary roofs and food, today millions do not even have these.

"I'm not saying green shoots or anything like that by any means but I am saying that whilst we have not reached the bottom, the rate of decline appears to have slowed," he said.

"Some people in the City are already talking of recovery. But the only recovery in the real world will be when unemployment starts to fall."

Of course there is a positive spin. Don't you guys know that elections are coming? On the day after the elections, if (when) the results go bad Gordo will swap round a few faces.

Anyone on this site NOT convinced that NuLab needs all the help it can get from the BBC?

250,000 loss in a quarter. We are certainly on target to 1 million of job loss this year!
If HPC corresponds with unemployment, which it does, we shall see a further 30% fall by the end of this year

He is probably trying to encourage the market rally, so he can dump the crap that he mistakenly bought.

I'd of thought his credibility was too important - clearly not.
