Aw, come off it..all those rating agencies are stupid! Alastair Darling knows what he's doing...

Alastair chose not to put in all those extras like PFI, Network Rail etc, because they are unimportant in the main scheme of things. You just need to read up on what a bunch of solid, progressive chaps NuLabour are!.

That's it - no problem, move along, nothing to see here.

I wondered why he had been put on such a pedestal after the NR cockup. I thought it was quite undeserved. Interesting to note that he is now a defender of the government despite all evidence to the contrary. Methinks this patsy might be a Lord or Sir before too long.
