no no no this guy has paid for his error so we should leave him alone.

The same thing happened to me though - i borrowed £16k from the bank over a number of years. I fogot all about it. They reminded me and i said Gosh sorry about that. I gave them the £16k back so they shoud think themselves lucky that i am such an honest chap. But guess what - not only did they not say thank you, they actually wanted to charge me interest (whatever that is). Gosh i thought i was doing them a favour looking after their cash for all that time (i didnt even charge).

They then telephoned me - or some frightful chap did - and said he was a "debt collector" and if i didnt pay the interest he would send some chaps called Bailiffs around - who i would have to pay. Good luck to them i thought - i would merely crank up the drawbridge!

Oh the cheek of it all - its enough to make you want to write to you MP!
