A catalogue of failures ...

Money Marketing: FSA's time is up

...It has failed completely yet no one has been made to walk the plank and no serious reform is contemplated. In fact, worse, more of the same seems to be the order of the day. Since this failed system of regulation, we have seen all sorts of failures - Equitable Life, NPI, split caps, missold pensions and a banking collapse. Political and media pundits argue that there is not enough regulation. No, we need fewer regulations, the return of sensible caveat emptor and an acceptance that financial services is not an exact science. (Written by Godfrey Bloom, Ukip MEP and former IFA).

Not to mention its disgraced former deputy chief executive being made to resign for being an architect of HBOS' downfall. Astonishing admission that the gamekeeper was not only a part time poacher, but was one of its most prolific!

I still think that far too few questions were asked about that whole fiasco.

When we have a busted economy that the powers to be will not face up to, what does one expect.

Living beyond our means untill something miraculous turns up perhaps. To a sane person it does beg the vital question.

Do they know something that we don't, or have our world leaders gone totally insane? Ponder on that thought.

In the not so far future ( if we make it ) people will look back at this, and shake there heads in disbelief ! Not only at the incapable morons that caused this mess, also at the gullible little man that fell for it, like WW1 over the top lads mentality. We listen but are deaf, we see but are blind!

We buy but are broke.

We trust but are doomed.

We plow the fields, and scatter the good seed on the land,
But it is fed and watered by the elites almighty hand;

We try but are stuffed

We pay taxes but we do not profit

We bank but have nothing

We are scammed but we do not mind
Oh how weak and conditioned we have become, i hang my head in shame!

It's not Kipling, but the best i can do for now...

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;

Oh, that guy!
