Petition for Brown to resign rises up the rankings
Number10.gov.uk: Petition for the prime minister to resign
Yes, I know it's a bit of fun but the petition for the Brown to resign has risen from 5th place earlier this morning to 2nd place as of lunch time today. How long before it is pulled?

Is it just me or has the petition "We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to resign" been rejected? Funny that!

Its an open petition.
You will need to wade through 3 or 4 pages to get to it. Nearly 30,000 signatures now.
Signatures are added in batches, not automatically.

Top of the list now. Lets see what the mainstream media make of this.

That must be just hugely embarrasing. Imagine. Central government opens up this petition system to give the unwashed minions a sense that they are participating in the democratic process and what does it result in?
A clamour of voices asking the PM to quit.

Just over 29,000 votes so far.

Took me a second to spot it because I wasn't looking at the top slot :)
29053 and counting. If this goes mainstream, I'd like to see it pass the million mark.

Yeah. Made top of the list and rightly so. Will be amazed to see what it gets by the poll close date of October.

I can only pray that the figures go ballistic. At least with Thatcher you knew she was going to stab you in the face, with Blair and Brown it's been all of us stabbed in the back.

Yep it's gone top of the list and the word is definitely getting around as there were shouts of RESIGN in the Commons today when Crash G lost his first vote as PM.
