50 per cent tax rate for Britain's rich

The Telegraph: 50 per cent tax rate for higher earners in Budget 2009

A new 50 per cent top rate of income tax has been announced in the Budget by Alistair Darling, the Chancellor.

Er, no.

What do we think inflation is going to do to wages?
The way these clowns are carrying on, 150K will be the national average wage by 2012.

And they know it. Slip it in "for the rich" and then drag feet until everyone's paying. That's how taxes were introduced - "only the rich will pay".
