I do not like to see any one go under, however, phil knowingly or unknowingly helped contribute to this mess we are all in, with the extream prices, ramped up, with crap / garbage tv programmes prostituting themselves as gods of investment..Lets hope it the last days for these programmes...PLLLLLEEEAAASSSSEE

"Television property expert Phil Spencer's company owed more than £500,000 when it went into administration. "
When exactly are they going to stop referring to these sheisters as experts? You call a brain surgeon a brain surgeon, and you expect him to complex surgery. You do not refer to him as an Expert brain surgeon after he has performed a botched operation using a kango hammer, wooden spatula and B&Q shovel. Phil Spencer is not, and never will be, an expert. He is a failure - along with that fat ugly cow of a co-star.

inbreda,
My thoughts entirely - experts have expertise, and know their subject.
Anyone worthy of being called a property expert would have known that the market was a bubble waiting to burst (it wasn't exactly rocket science to work that out..) and would have been ready to dismantle any business built on the back of the bubble, when the party ended.
But not our Phil - oh no, he was far too much of an 'expert' to understand that!

I agree, it's time we called these failures what they really are. Anyone care to put a posting on the Channel 4 property pages -

What I want to know is how he ran up debts of £500,000 when he only employs 10 people with minimal equipment (e.g. a couple of PCs and a phone). Also since Lloyds bank is state owned, the taxpayer is funding his losses. They should put a charge on him.

I can't believe his company earned a couple of million a year showing houses to people.
I also can't believe Krusty is now attempting to reinvent herself as some sort of interior design gnu (not a spelling mistake!). Presumably, the Tories are going to save the country via huge spending at B&Q rather than a bouyant housing market?

cyril - indeed. £500K when there are such minimal assets necessary only some marketing costs (I guess an ad in the FT's 'How To Spend It' or similar will cost a fair amount!)
wiltshire - Her latest will be a camera crew following her while she renovates her own place - I rumour that this was actually a nice accident for her. She told Endemol she wanted to take a break from her career and they asked why, and when she told them they asked if they could film it for a show! (Mrs 666 was working at Endemol at the time, hence the rumour status).

You might of heard the old saying
An EX is a HAS BEEN and a SPURT is a DRIP UNDER PRESSURE :-)

Experts my ar*e!
None of them ever forecast correctly.
Take the most recent inflation figures and unemployment figures:
The concensus was for a fall in CPI yet it rose and unemployment was higher than forecast.
They all earn money under false pretences by simply talking cr*p.
