Have you felt a backlash, personally?

The Grauniad: TV presenter and property guru Kirstie Allsopp on... the real causes of the housing crash

"No. People are so kind. If I had a pound for everyone who said, "You look so much younger and thinner in real life" ... Yes, thank you. I know you're being nice, and I'm going to take that as a compliment, but can you not say I look fatter and older when you see me on television?"
She should get out more...

Do you feel responsible for the housing crash?

No. If someone we've had on the show comes to me and says, "You gave me the wrong advice and I bought the wrong house. I've lost money", then I would feel hugely guilty.

Is this naivety? Or selective denial?

What is she saying? That TV does not influence people?

Dont you feel any responsibility about the advice you have been offering to the millions of viewers who tuned in? Who are now facing Massive neg equity?

Very Shallow and Callous.

I refuse to believe she is that dim.

Of course she shares a partial responsibility!

I blame her parents.

I think she is in serious need of a good spanking to straighten her out.

I recommend reading the comments after the article by Cavalorn. Extremely well written.

I personally have declined to comment given how unlikely they are to print comments with the words "fat stupid slag" in them.

Cavalorn has made two comments now - both superb. Why can't journalists be that intelligent and coherent?

Krusty has changed her tune, as if you care to watch pretty much any old location, location, you
can easily lose count of the nmube of times the word "investment" comes out of her fat plummy mouth.

Doomwatch @8 - 'fat plummy mouth', love it! I still think she needs a spanking though, coupled with the verbal abuse, and I'm next up after Happy Mondays!

"I've always had a passion for antiques, reclamation yards, getting stuff out of skips."

Why did she not make this passion for reclamation yards and skips known somewhat earlier?
Maybe then a few more people would have taken her less seriously.

PS. With her rather priveleged background how many skips do you think she has been taking things out of..... not many.

So saying that she would eat her hat if property prices went down was not encouraging people to buy in an overinflated market?
