Oh, green shoots is it? Not in the UK, mate !
Tell that to Visteon workers who were kicked out of their jobs this week. As a local firm, they sponsor the plants on a roundabout near my house. I guess it will get a bit overgrown in future....!
Tell it to the RBS staff or the HSBC staff cut out a week ago - remember, Finance is the UK's key export.
Have a good look at your local shopping mall. Lots of closing down sales and boarded shops.
Look around your local industrial estate...it goes on and on. Anytime now Timms and Mandelson will be telling us there are lots of opportunities for business out there!
Perhaps the IMF will tell Timms, Brown and Mandelson how to run the country when they take over. "Call me Dave" hasn't got any brighter ideas, so perhaps the IMF is the best option?

Uk house prices (unlike those in the US) are still miles away from anything that could be seriously regarded as sustainable.
False dawn? - very possible; bottom of the market? - not a prayer.
Could a false dawn last until next spring, when GB has to call an election? - extremely unlikely
