"Now is the time to buy," says Rupert Marchington of Knight Frank in Cirencester. "There may be a little more price loss to go but people who don't buy now may regret it for the rest of their lives."
The desperation phase is upon us. Those who DO buy now may regret it for the rest of their lives.

"On average, the price of a prime country cottage dropped from £558,000 a year ago to £460,000 at the beginning of 2009 and to £440,000 now."
Seriously, who can even begin to afford such houses? These rural villages tend to have very few jobs. Are the prices supported by over-stressed Londoners selling up and downshifting to the countryside?
