Reuters: Central banks set currency swap lines via Fed for U.S. banks
This seems a bit significant. Preparations are being made for a defense of the dollar.. .Bank of England, the European Central Bank, the Swiss National Bank and the Bank of Japan opened foreign currency credit lines to the Federal Reserve.

Or maybe, with the notable exception of China, a currency lifeboat is being formed similar to the bank's lifeboat scheme.

I agree; this is big news. Mind you, it's a bit like holding hands on the titanic, makes no odds - apart from the euro - thay are all doomed.

If the Dollar is doomed then the Euro is too. One too low, the other too high. Erm. I wonder.
