Sky: Arrests As G20 Protesters Go On The March
My mate discussed the forthcoming march on Monday. He's wearing a bright yellow top with POLICE on the back. He feels pretty much the same as many of the protesters and is hoping that they stick to throwing soft fruit.

^^ Oh my...
1:40: ursulaerrington: #G20. On meeting proper - feeling is that it doesn't effect markets that much. That this is political posturing not real practical action.
- Call yourself a journalist Ursula? It doesn't AFFECT markets...!

Effect an effect... heh

Looks like the markets are in pain or emotional turbulence.
Am I affected? I hope not!
Great to see a bit of the bulldog spirit coming through. Who needs poodle jackets IT SUMMER TIME and heating up quiet nicely.

From Timesonline,
"Many City workers had turned up for work "dressed down" - on police advice - to avoid becoming a target for the protesters. Yet the antagonism was clear as City staff waved £10 notes from their office windows and bellowed insults at the marchers below."
They deserve everything they get!

It's quite depressing that we don't seem to be able to riot properly in this country any more - especially with such a worthy cause. Makes me want to get on the train to london and show them how it's done.

This is more apt now, more so than when i last posted it!
@ Krustyatemyhampster, be patient, the tide is turning......
Things you say, Things you do sure worry me,
When were out on the street making money for you in your society.
It seems to me the time is right,
for another generation and another street fight.
Got no future, sure got a right, i got a right to live.
I can't stand the peace and quiet. All I want is a running a riot.
I can't stand the peace and quiet, Because all i want is a running.... RIOT!
Don't you try to understand the way we feel.
Lush Limousines and mortgages ain't no big deal.
I've got no friends who want to be, living like you when there 33.
Getting old sure bothers me, bothers me to death.
Cause I can't stand the peace and quiet.
All I want is a running a riot.
Cause I can't stand the peace and quiet.
All I want is a running .... RIOT!
Cause I can't stand the peace and quiet.
All I want is a running riot.
I want to riot!
I can't stand the peace and quiet,
All I want is a running.... RIOT! I just wanna RIOT!

Of course they're middle class.
The working class are either too busy earning a living, unlike these overprivileged scum, to be able to take part in this sort of cr*p, or more likely it goes over their heads as doesn't appear on soaps or reality TV or involve football or sex.

Pity we are not a little more like the French.....now they really know how to kick off..... Now, is it just me or is anyone else starting to see Jackie Smith in a more attractive and foxy light?

mr g you forgot to add that the 'working' class, as was, are dependent upon HMG hand-outs and so even if they were allowed to understand what was going on they are not likely to bite the hand that feeds them. These 'middle class scum' as you so bitterly describe the protesters are the ones who will end up paying for this governments b*llsh*t, not the 'working' class benefit dependents. The middle class keep this nanny state going through their taxes, the rich (tossers waving 10 pound notes out of windows "loadsa money" sh*te) have tax havens and clever accountants, while the poor have subsidies and benefits, so get off the middle class's case and put down your copy of Morning Star

We have the right to protest in this country, after all our fathers and grandfathers fought and died so we could have that right. I am with the protestors and glad they are exercising that freedom. This government wants to suppress any free speech or right to process by boxing them in and treating them like criminals. It is the Wan... I mean Bankers and Gordon and his croneys fault we are in this situation so I am glad people are getting together and protesting. There should be more of us protesting against the idiots who got us into this mess.
We are not as good as the French at this, if we were there would be manure spread all over the financial district in London.

Walking around the city today it felt like a small provincial carnival. The banksters are sh*gg*ng us senseless, the goverment is p*ss*ing our money away and yet the best we can do is throw a (small) party.
I guess if we are not prepered to stand up and be counted, this is what we'll get. Someone please pass the KY.
What a gutless nation we are!
