The Swiss, a nation long famous for their devotion to banking secrecy

The Economic Voice: Entropy, Chaos and Power (Part 1)

It is proving increasingly challenging to write this column as the moment we sit down to analyse and comment on one set of events, five new events occur which add both colour and confusion to the picture. This is Disaster Capitalism, otherwise known as the Shock Doctrine, occurring in real time. We are being deliberately flooded with perpetually morphing variables amidst a sea of information that is at best sketchy and at worst plain lies. Amidst the confusion, the media and politicians pump just one or two "stories" so focusing the public mind exactly where they want it; this week it's AIG bonuses.
Behind the smokescreen of this carefully orchestrated confusion the Managers are executing their plan to the letter. The fact is, the world is managed, it is not micro-managed but it

This article, as well as at least one earlier one, should have been posted using the original sources (SOTT in this case), NOT via our site.

Using The Economic Voice as a literary condom is not something we condone.

renting, my sincere appologies, no offence intended.

Regretably, although SOTT articles appear as valid articles on the add articles page on this site, they produce n error later, see below

This appears to be a restriction on free speech which is a shame if the article is comprehensive and as valid points to make.

Article Summary

(800 Chars. Left) The apparent confusion generated by the speed and magnitude of events is a symptom of the manipulation being perpetrated upon us, the moves upon the Grand Chessboard, the aim being to move faster than people can assimilate the changes, track the moves and analyse the variables and possible outcomes. The details of the events do, however, give the discerning the clues as to the direction in which the world is being taken

Troy - that's not an error message, as you well know. SOTT, prisonplanet and other conspiraloon sites are not allowed here as you were repeatedly spamming links to them on this blog.
If you want to read or post articles from them, then you are welcome to use Economic Voice, which was set up as an alternative to this site for those who want such an unfiltered experience. But please don't start spamming this blog again.

Post reported.

Just got wind of all this.......not a happy man.....
Hi LP ..........moderation boundaries on the site are being pushed to the full at the moment......we have a separate blog for the conspiraloons even though I have a certain sympathy for the ideas myself I am not a complete convert and dont want the impression that the site is for the lunatic fringe.......far from it. just wider debate.....
Sorry for the inconvenience
TC

p.s. spam is not something I condone on our site or this site...........it is counter productive to the individuals doing it and the sites spamed on and usually results in a ban for the individuals doing it

Hi TC - I visit your site regularly, it's great and I certainly wasn't dissing it at all. It has its place and so does this news blog. It's just a bit unfair on EV to have spammers use it as a 'literary condom' [wonderful phrase] to cloak links to conspiracy sites on this blog.

titaniccaptain, I deeply regret causing you concern in this matter, that was never my intention.

However there are a number of intentionally emotive and unnecessary words being used on this thread (spamming, dissing, spammers, 'literary condom' , conspiraloons, lunatic fringe) which have the effect of distracting attention from the artice itself, consideration of the issues it raises, and a genuine attempt to stimilate the 'wider debate' you refer to.

It appears that certain assumptions have been made which simply don't have solid roots.

I am grateful to HPC webmasters for allowing this dialogue to proceed and trust that common sense will ultimately prevail. These are not easy times, fighting between those who are addressing the issues is unlikely to be beneficial. imho.

titanic: I had a look at your site a short while ago. My first impression was that it's full of nutters. I didn't bother going back after that. I'm sure it's not what you wanted to hear, but it's just a bit of honest feedback

Thanks for the feedback...problem is when you give an open platform you get both sides........and if you hit a day when one side is dominant you have problems............all our problems are being sorted out before we have any further problems......hpc has suffered the same problem in the past and it does effect the quality of bloggers coming in...thankfully we do have a core of good guys in there

Hi Guys slightly off topic but would really appreciate some advice

I noted today that the value of gold in pounds has dropped since the pound has appreciated against the dollar, i am a little worried that if the dollar falls a lot further say by 50% the value of my investment will halve, is this correct and also if i by some gold in the new york vault, will this counter the threat of dollar devaluation..

is it similar for oil??

Thanks for the honest feedback Flashman. The Economic Voice is definitely not a conspiracy site. It is for wide topical debate on the whole political and economic spectrum. It's a pity that we got the original mix wrong. Certain changes have been made to the home page that we believe address the initial wrong perception. You live and learn.
