Maybe we are all just pretending a recession?

"which reveals that even Bill Gates is £12.2 billion the poorer (although he has still managed to knock Warren Buffett off the perch as Britain's richest man)"

Sick journalism - making scoffs about the toffs losing money, they can afford to loose it. What about the real people who have lost jobs pensions and savings. The great wealth divide continues to widen, along with a loss of morality. The wealthy arses who make light of the current financial crises may look back on themselves in years to come as the loathsome creatures that they really are.

I think the fact that a drug dealer is one of the richest people on the planet tells you all you need to know.

"Then along comes the credit crunch, knocking you off the Forbes 2009 Billionaires List, which reveals that even Bill Gates is £12.2 billion the poorer (although he has still managed to knock Warren Buffett off the perch as Britain's richest man). "
Thers something truly pathetic about describing two Americans as Britains Richest people.

I have said before, why does anybody quote the telegraph ? Apart from being the single most one sided paper in the UK, how can anybody quote a paper that claims Warren Buffet is British ? A 2 second google would have cleared that up.
Please, you may as well quote the Daily star or the national enquirer
