Let em close...don't bailout more companies with our money
Yahoo: Vauxhall May Have To Close Without Bail-Out
why should we bailout companies only to be charged high prices from the same companies in the future plus higher taxes..

Why is the traffic always one way? There needs to be an end to this - where is the private money that flowed out of these companies in the good years? If we are talking about radical solutions to big problems, there needs to be some input from the private sector, does there not? We know that the future tax burdens from these bailouts will not be placed on those who profited most from the boom years.

I say no to "bailout". Vauhall have excessive stock. They should clear stock like any other business does by dropping prices. If they were to offer say the Insignia at £10k instead of the £20k that is retails for. I for 1 would consider buying at £10k

Exactly, but that would be surrendering to deflation and a fair deal.
People would expect house prices to follow suit and there is the problem.
Comes back down to banks yet again.
