Deluded Nutter Tries to Convince US It Was Nothing To Do With Him

BBC News: 'Seize moment' Brown to urge US

Gordon Brown will urge the US to "seize the moment" to "make the future work for us" when he addresses a joint session of the US Congress.
More like a "Seizure Lament". I cannot believe this man is our Prime Minister, he's got more front than Harrods. The sad thing is I think he actually believes that whats going on in our country is everyone elses fault, but after watching bloomberg last night I think we can rest assured that he wont be able to convince the yanks of anything other than he is a bumbling fool. Last night I saw Amercan TV presenters trying not to laugh out loud at this man, who is going to convince the world that "greater financial regulation is need", whilst they showed TV footage from a couple of years ago of him saying, what was needed was "light touch regulation"

That is an extremely one sided opinion you have there. I'll be voting Lib Dem for the 3rd time running however I think it’s over simplistic and completely incorrect opinion to paint Gordon Brown as either an idiot or a key player in the global FS melt down. At the end of the day he's the captain of a ship that’s hit an iceberg, but he like everyone he is metaphorically sailing in the Arctic Circle and to his credit has been one the few voices asking for extra lookouts for the past decade. Why is everyone surprised, we have had a record prosperous run in the UK? There was no way it could go on forever and from what my parents and uncles say this is a much gentler down turn in terms of social consequences than the past 2 where every street saw a family being booted out due to repossessions. I get bored with reading these childish opinions trying to lampoon Gordon Brown for the whole mess, why can't we all take a more constructive criticism approach like Vince Cable does. Just be thankful the Tories aren’t power, they tend to look as at repossessions’ as buying opportunities as opposed to a bad thing.

Yes I think I have, and so have you, but then again isnt that what an opinion is, mine is mine and yours is yours. Any I say well done for expressing your opinion in this democratically elected free country of ours.....oh wait thats right Gordon Brown never was elected by the people of this country.....dohhh!!

Pete, you have just convinced me that the Liberal Democrats are a bigger waste than I already thought they were i.e. the majority of their members are drawn from the chattering classes.

This country is doomed by the chronic and collective failure of the main political parties and I dread to think of what will fill this vacuum.
