More MSM quoting from Nationwide press release

Telegraph: Average house prices back below £150,000

The only bit of the article that doesn't appear to be directly from the Nationwide press release is this: "The figures are in sharp contrast to ones reported by Halifax for January, which showed house prices rose by 1.9 per cent during the month, although at the time economists cautioned against reading too much into the rise. The Nationwide data also suggests that anecdotal evidence from estate agents showing a pick-up in interest from potential buyers has not yet filtered through into sales."

Hmmm, "anecdotal" and "evidence" - two words I would not normally put next to each other in a sentence, especially one also containing "estate agents".

I'm still *interested* in buying a house, but only at £110k or below (about three times my salary). Still a hell of a long way to go. I'm not even going to bother contacting an estate agent until my local average is down to 120k.

@1. Interesting thought to wait for average in your area to reach 3x salary. Although given I'm in London perhaps I'll settle for 4x my salary.
