Fun Online Poll
Pollcode.com: What would you like the government to do?
The options are: "Use taxpayers' money to prop up house prices"; "Use taxpayers' money to build 'affordable housing'"; "Use savers' money to subsidise borrowers"; "All of the above"; (and finally) "None of the above". I'm genuinely interested as to what people think, I do wonder whether the government's ruthless vote-buying policies are actually buying any votes.

Mark, are you organising a petition at some point? I find it hard to believe that the govt actually have the authority to spray taxpayers money around in such a stupid, vote-catching and morally hazardous way without some kind of special mandate.
I recall there was a "say no to the bailout" petition in the US, does anyone know of one here?

@ tc, h, thanks,
@ a saver, feel free to set up a Number 10 petition if you think it's worth the hassle. But the poll results so far suggest that what they are doing isn't actually very vote-catching, the pork pyramid scheme has collapsed.

I would like the government to leave well alone, and let the market correct itself.

Looks like "do nothing" is what the people want, Mr Brown...

I think a petition is a good idea. It is apparent that the Govt will do whatever they think will win them votes. This poll seems to indicate that butting out would do that.
