Followed by winter of discontent
ITN: Police braced for 'summer of rage'
Police fear there may be a "summer of rage", with a wave of protests against the economic crisis.
David Hartshorn, who heads the Metropolitan Police's public order branch, said he feared there could be "mass protest" at rising unemployment, failing financial institutions and the downturn in the economy.
He said that "known activists" were planning returns to the streets, and intelligence revealed that they may be able to call on more protesters than normal due to the unprecedented conditions.
He said: "Those people would be good at motivating people, but they haven't had the 'footsoldiers' to actually carry out (protests).
"Obviously the downturn in the economy, unemployment, repossessions, changes that. Suddenly there is the opportunity for people to mass protest."

I plan to use my rage in the Spring, and then hang my neighbours in a makeshift smoker, so that I can enjoy a pleasant British summer accompanied by some fine home made long ham.

Nanny state Ministers and their media advertising etc.have reduced the emotional level of health of the public to: Chronic complacency and compliance, grovelling appeasement, chronic apathy and chronic sympathy.
Not until the people's suffering, hunger and losses become sufficient will they rise up to the level of chronic anger.

Ah the government want more power over the people so it is asking the police to whip up concern. Be prepared for more "anti - terrosit" laws that will be miss-used by the police to lock up football supporters and old age people complainng about council tax bills!

Not until the scummers loose their satalite dishes, weekdays in Wetherspoons and all the handouts they can get will we see any uprising. How can they protest about unemployment when they didn't want to work during the good times?!? Ha!
