SFSC News: George Monbiot on printing our own money
If the state can’t save us, we need a licence to print our own money in the Guardian is a good overview of what we’ve all understood for years: the centralisation and monopolisation of national power has been winning over local and town initiatives, by the strength of national currencies.
Now, ‘globalisation’ undermines the sovereignty of nation sates and makes states bankrupt. We live in “interesting” times!

Fiat money is bad, whoever prints it, because absolute power corrupts absolutely, and power to print money is absolute power. We need gold backed currency that can't be manipulated.
