No, I know for a fact that going to the right school, knowing the right people and being the 'right sort' will get you much further in the city than irrelevancies like education, skills and experience.

They are able to get much further up people's noses. There's a reason for everything.

Finger length may be a measure of apple-polishing while nose length may better serve the purpose as measure of success for the purpose of brown-nosing.

Actually Paul there is a certain amount of truth in this. It is a fact that "going to the right school" and "knowing the right people" i.e. living in those circles where money is kept in the family by inbreeding, will cause ones fingers to be peculiar lengths.

This has been shown before with sexual orientation, yep those with short "ring" fingers are predisposed to being gay.

As for me? Well I have noticeably long ring fingers! Earn a pittance mind. Also Torygrasp did a thing about blood type. So called hunters are tall slim and always blood group O. Hey I'm tall and skinny! Where's my bonus?

The inbreda reference is because I used to have the michael extracted from me for coming from such a small island. "breda" is a local beer originally brewed in Holland but as it is a "wife-beater" beer the rest of the world failed to take it up on a big enough scale so production is now moved to the channel islands for a local audience. My aim in life is to set up my own brewery and produce Inbreda - far more apt for the locals.

Alas - it has nothing to do with having money in the family. but I should have checked for the hypocrisy before posting!!

Bellwether - as far as I'm aware, ring finger being longer than index finger is just an indication that you're male. In women they're pretty much the same length. Suggest you grab the next passing female and have a look.
