Desperate, scared and not knowing what to do to survive the economic storm

The Trends Research Institute: Economy in Collapse - Drastic Actions Will Be Taken

KINGSTON, NY, 22 January 2009 -- President Barack Obama will use his poll shattering popularity to swiftly enact policies that will prove to be among the most costly and potentially destructive in America's history, predicts Trends Research Institute Director Gerald Celente.
"We are forecasting dramatic measures will soon be taken by the Obama Administration that will worsen the credit crisis and severely damage the nation's economic system," says Celente.
According to The Trends Research Institute Director, the new President who swept into the White House on a tidal wave of unprecedented enthusiasm and the blessings of a strong majority, will have free reign to take whatever actions he deems necessary.

The Greatest Depression
While we alone predicted the “Panic of ’08” (and even took out the domain name “Panicof08.com” on November 7, 2007), we are not alone in predicting a Depression. The “D” word is being uttered – in some cases by those who have the most to lose and whose best interests are not served by spreading gloom and doom.....

Great website trendsresearch.com Troy,

I like this bit

The Revolution -
It’s unprecedented. There is nothing like it in the history of the United States. No week goes by without the Government buying into or buying up another failing “too big to fail” using taxpayer money. In the process, a super-race of corporate giants is being created that will be declared “too big to tumble.” It is a matter of historical fact: When people are homeless, helpless, desperate, jobless and hungry, sooner or later they will rebel. And it won’t be any different in America.....

This is hardly newsworthy. Who are the Trend Research Institute? From what I can gather it's the ramblings of one highly opinionated american. In this article he forecasts that the new president will screw up on some things. The forecast is deliberately vague - how can we judge Obama's plans if we don't know what would have happened without them? Yes he'll probably make some mistakes, he's only human, but his record in the first week is impressive. Judge facts, not opinions, rants, and "trend research".
