People are now so used to not looking past Jan 01 (the 'let's just get through Christmas' approach). Next we'll soon start seeing New Year resolution rubbish on breakfast TV with 'how to improve your finances' etc. I actually think there will be real carnage will be in the holiday industry next year, as Boxing Day usually heralds the start of that particular rush.
