Time for some jobs news

bbc: Bank cuts jobs in outsource move

More than 100 banking jobs are to be axed from offices in Cardiff.
Barclays is to outsource its department which deals with deceased customers' accounts leading to 109 job losses to a third-party supplier in Warwickshire.

The jobs aren't off to India but to Stratford-upon-Avon!

So then ... surely they'd be looking for experienced customer accounts staff to fulfil the new Barclays contract ... ?

I doubt it. A few of the 'out sourcing centres' in Stratford Upon Avon do exactly that - they outsource to other countries including India and the Phillipines.
Thats probably just the office where they will organize it ......

Not wanting to appear cynical of course.
