The article notes; "The Conservatives described Miss Jowell's comments as a "stunning admission" ..."

I reckon a lot of other folks are due to get "stunned" too! Wasn't it only a couple of weeks ago that Captain Darling was saying things would pick up in late 2009?

If this were Greece, there would be a riot!

Hold on a minute. Can someone please explain this to me. Either the government(s) can control the business cycle or they cant. If they can then how can this have happened on Labour's watch? If they cant then why cant they just admit that they are there to allocate resources..........

Isa Jowell has obviously started preparing for a blame game for the miserable 2012 olympic game, seeking the excuse for the potential accusations like 'Why the heck must the atletes stay in tent cities with the diet of pot noodles?' She would say 'had it not been for the born-again Great Depression (caused by C Gordon's mishandling of economy)'

crunchy... It was also Darling that said a few months ago we were heading for a recession of the likes we have not had for many years. Or words to that effect.
At the same time Gordon was telling us quite the opposite.

Do they think people do not have memories? CLASSIC SPIN.
