The Very Very Great Depression........................... est arrivé

Leap 2020: Global systemic crisis – New tipping point in March 2009

LEAP/E2020 anticipates that the unfolding global systemic crisis will experience in March 2009 a new tipping point of similar magnitude to the September 2008 one. The crisis will continue, in particular in the US and UK, and in all the countries depending on their economy, were the duration could approximate a decade. In fact these countries should not expect any real return to growth before 2018.

looks just about gloomy enough to be a realistic time frame, just mix in a little global warming and energy shortages, and then try to spell optimistic.

I don't disagree with this analysis. My portfolio is half gold and half other companies with actual assets, like oil, copper, and diamonds; I have removed any exposure to pure service companies, which can disappear in a puff of smoke. Even so, my gold half is down 5%, the other half 95%. Ouch! The ongoing pain will become apparent to all over time.

I am currently in Australia, and the realisation is far away here. There is a belief that it will not arrive, and things will continue to be okay; the people here are only just starting to realise that something is wrong. Give it another 6 months and they'll start being hit in the same way as everywhere else. Strange to arrive here, it's like february back in the UK, quite a lot of heads in the sand!

Reminds of this post on BigPicture

WTF is Going to Happen Today?

I wake up every day, and instead of saying, g’morning sweetheart, I say:

What the f&%$ is going to happen TODAY!

Then I jump out of bed, cause I simply cannot wait to see.

I consider myself fortunate to live in such interesting times . . .

That looks like a sound portfolio under the present circumstances and gold is showing to be the most reliable, but IMO there is absolutely no escape. Everything but everything is going down in value especially in real terms, with the exception of gold I suppose. Long term; Who knows! could be a great portfolio, but I fear there is no escape at present and short term, everything was inflated. Only true gamblers can profit in this climate getting in and out fast. Now it's more like restricting the damage than investing for anyone striving to move their wealth into safety over the next couple of years.

That's the problem with people touting their big predictions. The big media event is often not the actual turning point.

'The impact on the world’s collective mentalities of people and policy-makers will be decisive and modify significantly the course of the crisis in its next stage. Based on greater disillusion and fewer beliefs, social and political instability will settle down worldwide.'

With the moon in Leo and gold at $2000 an ounce. Puh-lease.

I disagree withy the March 2009 event.

An Armstrong high is due in April 2009 - this will probably be due to Obama's team injecting masses of cash into the economy and renewable energy projects

The major international crisis brewing will centre around Pakistan and/or Iran and may drag in China and Russia.
The Calleman model points to this happening after April 2009 and peaking in August and/or December 2009

Crunchy,

His my detail analysis for the next 9 months:
Both the Calleman and Armstrong models are in total sync with each other and show a clear high in global confidence around 20 April 2009

Once we get over the Suez Crisis that fades in late January 2009 (mapped from November 1956) we have lots mapped "revolutionary positive events" up until 19 April and the lots of negative events after.

25 January 2009 (IBM invented the hard disk – mapped to September 1956)
29 January 2009 (Suez Crisis ends – mapped to November 1956)
13 February 2009 (Sputnik satellite launched - mapped from October 1957)
19 March 2009 (Silicon chip invented - mapped to July, 1959)
2 April 2009 (The contraceptive Pill invented - mapped to May 9, 1960)
19 April 2009 (Martin Armstrong PI cycle - high)
25 April 2009 (Berlin wall construction started - mapped to August 17 1961)
17 May 2009 (Cuban missile crisis - mapped to October 27 1962)
5 June 2009 (JKF shot - mapped to 22 November 1963)
19 June 2009 (Gulf of Tonkin incident - mapped to August 1964)
5 July 2009 (200,000 U.S. troops to Vietnam - mapped to July 1965)
8 August 2009 (6 day war - mapped to June 1967)
21 August 2009 (Vietnam launched the Tet offensive - mapped to Jan. 31, 1968)

Expect an international crisis to peak in late August 2009

The key points here are that between 1956 and 1959 the inventions of the silicon chip, the hard disk and the satellite went on to form the basis of the technology revolution in the mid 1990s

If Calleman’s model is true then we should see scientific breakthroughs between now and April which will form the next and final revolution that will be available to Joe Public in 2010-2011.

My guess it will be dark energy

Previous revolutions are:

Spoken word (100,000 years)
Written word (5,000 years)
Industrial revolution ((250 years)
Internet revolution (10-15 years)
Dark energy????? (1 year????)

Interestingly, we will probably see loads of money pile into wind, solar etc alt energies early next year causing a bubble into the Armstrong high on 19 April 2009. These will probably turn out to be bad investments.

No not a conspiraloon, There is no conspiracy because it is too obvious to me what's going on. I would call it an agenda no different than any other throughout history. Now Civilised Enslavement. Yes it's moved on from the Columus style. How quaint!
It is strange when two different methods point to the same event. Very strange. I hope that your system paints a brighter picture for the future. Because my info is quiet the opposite.

I could never be as focused as you. I have no interest in details just the meat and bones.

Leap2020 are not predicting some shock event to occur in March. Between now and March 2009 is simply the time frame for the global financial system to break further. Lots more water in the Titanic so to speak.

crunchy,

The conspiraloon thing was a joke - that's what you get called for thinking outside of the mainstream.
You call it an "Agenda by the Elite", but when you think about the total picture, how about the "cosmic plan" of evolution of consciousness.

My system has many facets but its core lies with Dr Carl Calleman's book "The Transformation of Consciousness". It does have a happy ending of global enlightenment, but not before staring into the abyss first. If you can see the abyss now then you might be ready to see the good stuff.

People who have already accepted the end of the old world are much more willing to move to the new one.

Calleman's book is essentially about an evolution of consciousness that has been in progress from the Big Bang, and will result in a Consciousness Singularity in less than 3 years time

Ian Lungold made a great video about Calleman’s first book

LOL Supressing some truth is like trying to keep a whale from breathing. House Prices and the economic factors surrounding them can only lead a thinking person into a deeper investigation.

If this site was just about pathetic house prices I would not have bothered. How boring it would be to look at a price chart day after day. Not for me!

I think that alot of the problem is that most people like to think that we operate in a free market. If you are good at something you are rewarded.
The minute you start to realise that markets are rigged, that all goes out the window.

Quick wheres that blanket?

Spammers have something to say. It does not all come at once.
