Reuters: UK retailer USC calls in administrators
Another retailer bites the dust: British designer fashion retailer USC has appointed administrators after falling prey to the consumer downturn. The chain's remaining stores, which employee 300 people, over half of whom work part time, are in the hands of the administrators.

another example of a business that works when things are good, but hasn't prepared for the predictable downturn. Did Hunter and GB go to the same school. Interestingly I read an article earlier that stated that Sir Tom Hunter may struggle to have enough cash to donate the 1.4bln pounds he was going to to charity, but GB seems to have no difficulty at all when finding funds to give to 'deserving' causes like fraudulent banks, benefit cheats and councillor 'fat cats', only difference is that Hunters money would have come from providing a service, while GB's comes from 'stealing' from future generations, no wonder the church of England are up in alms.
