bbc: Mood Darkens in Service Sector

So I seem to remember GB being proud of our service sector as it was more dynamic than stuffy manufacturing and more flexible. I also seem to remember Fatty Declan on BBC Breakfast saying the same thing. The reality is no-one needs these services that can come from cheaper elsewhere.
Goodbye GBP, hello Euro. Just as the glorious leader wanted.

symo,

The term "service sector" is far too vague. It includes:
* Media
* Hospitality and tourism (e.g. bars, restaurants, hotels, casinos)
* Education
* Consulting
* Legal practice
* Healthcare/hospitals
* Waste disposal
* Personal services (anything from plumbers to personal shoppers)
* Business services
* Financial services
* and many more

Some of these are exporters and generate real wealth (e.g. films and tv shows). Some of these generate real wealth by importing their customers (tourists, university students, boarding school students, Harley Street surgery patients). You can't tar all the "service sector" with the same brush.
