Useful recession page (found it by clicking prebudget whats in it for you!) lol
Yahoo: Recession
The banking crisis might be nearing its end, but the recession has only just begun. While unemployment hits the highest levels in a decade, the UK economy - long regarded as the strongest and most resilient in Europe - has now been tipped to be the hardest hit.

Just look at what's happening in America for a taste of things to come. In California, unemployment is at 8.2% - up from 5.7% a year earlier. For every two people unemployed last year, they now have a third one joining them. There's every reason to expect the UK to suffer more than the US (though not as much as Iceland). The jobs situation will be messy.

Note the way they slipped in "the banking crisis might (sic) be nearing its end". Where did that idea come from?
