Now we are getting down to it. Good old Labour. The best part is this group is going to vanish rapidly as the economy collapses. Everyone in this group should chuck in their jobs and come back as contractors and exercise every loophole in the book.

My concerns are will labour call a general election next year to capitalise on their free for all budget give aways ? If they do, they have a good chance to win. There wont be any tax increases until 2013-2014. If they dont call the election next year, they have a greater chance to loose in 2010 meaning that the conservatives will be in power and reviewing the budget on how to pay it back.
i think we concentrate too much on how the rich or whoever will be taxed rather than how big the hole is going to be between now and 2014 depending on when there is an election.

I love the good old "the, if we do this, then they'll just go abroad" argument, that's constantly put by the right wing press. My response is a simple one. Call their bluff.

Oh dear me. How the pips squeak even when they are only just very slightly squeezed. Well welcome to the real world Torygraph fat cats. Frankly, I really can't see the self righteous indignation turning into a mass exodus of talent. I too will be paying more, but I can afford to and won't particularly miss it. Besides it will cost a lot less to stay and pay than to up sticks and move abroad and frankly I have never seen or worked in a country that I'd prefer to live in than this one. If I am wrong and there is an exodus then I would say bring it on as soon as possible and give us the opportunity to step up to your jobs and to pay your taxes. For too long now we have had our careers blocked by a bullshitting class of overpaid pseudo talents. As to the ever earnestly preaching Camalon promising to reverse the changes, well I somehow think that's another nail in his electoral coffin.
