Now this is handy!
Our Property: Selling prices 1995 to 2000
Our Price have updated their database for selling prices from 1995 to 2000; the ones from 2000 were already on there because they get this from HM Land Registry. (I typed in a road at random to generate a new URL)

I've just been checking the prices of places my friends bought. One paid 4 times the 1996 price in 2005!

Thanks Mark - this is brilliant! A flat I know that was sold next to ours for £84,500 in 1988 resold for £79,950 in 1998 - a FULL 10 years later! This is what I have been trying to tell people about the perils of buying in an overheated market but without proof until now it has fallen on deaf ears.

I see Zoopla.co.uk also have the 1995 info now - don't have to register or fill in the survey there though
