More 'secret' talks

The Times: Jaguar in secret plea for £1bn government loan

The speed of the economic decline has not just hit the motor industry. A number of large British-based industrial groups are also considering asking the government for financial support. If help is not given tens of thousands of jobs are at stake.

Jaguar is not a British company. If you work for a foreign owned company then you have to rely on that country to bail you out.

I take strong objection to tax payers bailing out a company that supply cars for the rich and wealthy, Jaguar should ask their customers to bail them out not us the people that can't afford a bus or train ticket.

The X Type is a bleedin' Ford Mondeo TDi with a curvy tin body. Same diesel engine too.

As with Ford Mondeos, online discounts for X Types are huge. I nearly bought one last year, they are suprisingly cheap. Mrs thought it looked old fashioned though.
