Is this what brown means by building new schools....

contract journal: Building work under threat in Aberdeen following bank collapse

Building work on new Aberdeen schools could be halted unless the council provides a loan of up to £17.5m.
Aberdeen council has been asked to provide between £3m and £17.5m to keep the £120m 3Rs project on track after its financial backer collapsed.

Shocking to hear that not only a good half of the big retailers rely on loans provided by Icelandic banks, now it is the turn of councils who have borrowed as well to finance public services.UK involvment with Iceland is quite worrying.
